The Naked Actor”, a solo one-act rollercoaster comedy on the existential theme of being an actor.
Not only a brilliant Rhodes Masters scholar on the verge of his first Doctorate, Axl Forder is also an anarchic young actor with a zany, irrepressible talent to amuse.
In “The Naked Actor”, Axl lays bare the undaunted spirit of a young actor caught up in the hazardous spiderweb of lewd agents, cutthroat impresarios, lascivious casting directors and shady theatre “types” that is Cape Town’s seedy showbiz underworld…The question is; will he survive?
Devised & directed by Paul Spence (7 years with the Royal Shakespeare Company U.K.), “The Naked Actor” can be enjoyed in a sundowner performance at The Stage “Little Theatre on the Green”, Bathurst; Sunday 24th March.
