Pure guitar magic and some really soulful singing by Mel Botes at The Stage in Bathurst on Monday evening, 23rd September. An evening to remember in so many ways with this amazingly rounded artist who called back the golden age of rock ’n roll  and blues music with some impeccable riffs lifted from many of the worlds most talented guitar artists - along with a few excellent originals. Hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later.

Again - WOW! Another brilliant evening of 50's and 60's Rock 'n Roll by this amazing group at the "The Stage" in Bathurst on Friday 23rd August. Alec Voogt and his band "Who Invited Karen" gave their interpretation of  all those bygone icons in 'Quiff is Kiff' as only they can do. What an evening of fun and reminiscence.

The 2024 Edition of the Bathurst Country Affair held over the long weekend 9th - 11th August was a huge success with thousands of visitors to the village helping to make it the best ever since its inception some 13 odd years ago. Activities and stalls of all kinds abounded throughout the village and smiles everywhere were the order of the day.

We've seen Candace before at The Stage in Bathurst - but this 10th August 2024 evening  at the Bathurst Country Affair was special. Growing up in a household where Country Music was a staple diet her love for many and varied artists led her to put together a very memorable showcase of her talents both as a pianist and top notch country singer.

A Tour de Force in every respect - Corinne Willoughby's "LAST WILLOUGHBY ..... and Testament" at The Stage in Bathurst was an Autobiography to revel in. From her earliest days in theatre, her marriage and her relationships ....... we learn everything there is to know about Corinne ......... and considerably more, when she presents us with characters that we have all known in one form or another - but never met: Now we know them intimately - Mama Davis / Dominee Tienie / The Representative of the VVV (In this case the 'Vrolike Vroue Vereeninging') / Dolores / Her Lame Joke / & "He is Everywhere" a tribute to her brother Guy.Very ably Directed & assisted on stage as a foil and available sounding board, Louwrens Orsmond is an essential and amusing part of the show. Whatever you do - Do Not miss this show next time around.

Professional in every sense of the word, and producing music of the very highest quality, the group "Who Invited Karen" entertained the small audience at The Stage in Bathurst with a range of covers that would have made all of the original artists very proud. Quite definitely an evening to be remembered. Be sure not to miss them when next they are at this venue.

Superlatives simply don't begin to describe the intensity and quality of music that a very fortunate audience enjoyed at The Stage in Bathurst on Saturday 29th June. Joe van der Linden and Wendy Oldfield simply blew the audience away with their very special connection and some superlative guitar and drum work to back Wendy's really great vocals.

EksnieDanie (Danie), is a drag artist who puts on an amazing and really enjoyable show as he leads his audience through a "Pop Quiz" evening with a difference at The Stage in Bathurst - everything is done electronically, and at all times the various teams can see exactly where they stand in the points hierarchy - be sure not to miss the next one in July.
